TAP PD (Tap Photodetector) is an integrated device that combines a Tap Coupler and a Photodetector (PD)**, which is mainly used for real-time monitoring of the optical signal power, while ensuring low-loss transmission of the main optical path signal. It plays an important role in optical communications, fibre optic sensing and laser systems.

TAP PD is internally packaged with high performance InGaAs/InP PIN photodiode.Based on its special optical design, the product has the advantages of high responsiveness, low dark current and high reliability.Due to its compact structure and small volume, it is easy to be integrated in high-density optical fiber communication systems.
