2×2BA Optical Switch

The 2×2 BA optical switch features a sophisticated internal optical path that switches between "normal" and "bypass" states via mechanical actuation or MEMS micromirror flipping. When the connected equipment loses power (the most common triggering event) or suffers a critical failure, the optical switch automatically initiates a state transition. In the case of a non-latching optical switch, it will automatically revert to the bypass state instantly upon power loss.
